Lady Captain 2023/2024

Over the last 2 years I have had the privilege to support Nicki as the lady vice and It’s my honour to be taking on the role as Lady Captain at Cainhoe Wood for 2023/24.

Since taking up golf circa 5 years ago I have always played here at Cainhoe. I’m married to James, have 2 boys Samuel and Lucas and we all like to try our hand at golf ( which sometimes proves for a competitive game!)  

Cainhoe is a great place to learn how to play golf, or hone your existing skills on 2 beautiful and very different courses. The club house provides a warm family friendly atmosphere that also offers great catering facilities, so we have lots to offer over and above the golf.

Over the last 18 months the clubs membership has grown exponentially, which includes a really strong, competitive ladies section. We are a friendly and inclusive group, with ladies of all golfing abilities. There is always someone on hand to support, encourage, befriend and (when necessary) commiserate with!

We have a great ladies committee and are always looking for suggestions and ideas to improve our section. 

Throughout this year we have lots of golf planned, both social and competitive. The ladies play organised golf on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, so something to cater for both working and non working ladies.

This year we are also working on a couple of new exciting events for the club, keep your eyes peeled on announcements.

I am often at the club so please feel free to say hi, and if we can grab a round sometime all the better….I might pick up some new tips!
